If visiting us isn’t an option, we’ll bring the magic to you with a personal call to show you what makes a QUEST 911 LDRC (Long-Distance Rally Car) so unique.

Step 2
Design and planning
Once you’re ready, we enter the design phase, one of the most personal and inspiring parts of the journey. Here, imagination takes the lead. Together, we explore your style, your needs, and ambitions to create a QUEST Porsche LDRC built for adventure that reflects who you are in every detail. If you can dream it, we can bring it to life so you can race it!
From start to finish, nothing is off-limits. We stay closely connected, refining together the specifications of your LDRC as inspiration evolves. Many clients cherish this stage as much as the final vehicle. You’ll receive detailed visuals and a clear cost breakdown, bringing your vision to life, piece by piece, until it feels not only possible, but inevitable.
Step 3
Donor
A classic car is a vehicle with a past, full of character, memories, and miles, and here it's ready to begin a new chapter. Together, we can search for the perfect donor car that suits your vision and goals, or we can work with an 911 that’s already part of your story, one that’s lived in your family or carried you on countless adventures. Choosing a donor from our carefully selected fleet is another option.
Wherever it comes from, our approach ensures that this beloved icon is reimagined with care, ready to be driven and cherished for generations to come.
Step 4
Disassembly
We start by carefully dismantling the donor vehicle, cataloguing every part with precision. Each component is evaluated for restoration, machining, or replacement to improve durability and reliability while maintaining authenticity. Like passing down a legacy, we preserve as many original parts as possible, keeping the 911’s soul alive. This process unfolds in our dedicated workshop, where your vehicle’s story resurfaces through hidden details. Every discovery is documented and shared with you through our app, keeping you connected throughout the entire journey.
Step 5
Bodywork
A durable restoration starts with thorough preparation.
At QUEST, every classic Porsche is completely stripped so each component can be inspected, cleaned, and restored. The body is then water blasted, a deliberate choice that preserves the original galvanized layer and its rust protection.
After blasting, all corroded areas are repaired, and the weak points are rewelded and reinforced. To turn the chassis into a true Long-Distance Rally Car, over 100 custom made QUEST reinforcement plates are welded in. This meticulous process extends the car’s lifespan and creates a car body stronger than ever beforeready for the toughest roads on the globe.
The result is a restoration that’s beautiful, technically reliable, and durable while staying true to the original spirit of the 911.
Step 6
New parts and surface treatment
We believe every part of the original vehicle carries a story, that’s why we strive to preserve and restore as many components as possible. Every single piece is treated with care and attention, undergoing a series of surface treatments, from sanding or sandblasting to protective zinc coating, powder coating and painting, to ensure it stands the test of time and the elements.
Where restoration alone isn’t enough, we carefully select high-quality new parts to breathe fresh life into the car, blending the soul of the past with the promise of many journeys still to come.
Step 7
Engine & Gearbox
Now we turn to the heart of your Porsche, the place where spirit meets motion.
If the flat-six engine is still in a good running condition, we can choose several directions. We may keep it largely original, giving it a visual upgrade by dry ice blasting the engine and refinishing and re-plating parts. If desired, the engine can be fully dismantled, overhauled and rebuilt and even equipped with a variety of possible performance upgrades.
Transmissions are always thoroughly inspected and overhauled all wear parts such as bearings, seals, and synchro rings are replaced.
Step 8
Brakes and Suspension
Next, we turn to control and comfort, beginning with the braking system. New brake lines are carefully replaced from front to back, followed by the installation of high-performance brake components that surpass original factory standards. If desired, the braking system can be upgraded to that of the 930 Turbo.
From there, we move on to the suspension. The shock absorbers we use are custom-made. Our QUEST LDRC Porsches feature a raised, adjustable suspension that offers both comfort on asphalt roads and on gravel roads anywhere in the world.
Step 9
Electrics
During the design process, every client wish comes into focus, including the electrical side of the build. From additional lighting to phone chargers, from audio systems to navigation or rally instruments, from electric air conditioning to electrical heaters, every detail can be tailored to your lifestyle. Also electrical assisted steering can be installed to enhance the driving and parking comfort of your vehicle.
Step 10
Interior
Once the exterior captures the 911 Long-Distance Rally spirit, we turn inward to craft the interior. Every choice you made during the design process — from materials and colours to fabrics and patterns — is meticulously brought to life. The result is a perfectly balanced, harmonious space where form meets function.
The interior welcomes the traveller with comfort and style, reflecting the vehicle’s exterior beauty. Throughout the build, this dynamic journey shapes your Porsche LDRC into the ideal travel companion crafted with thoughtful details like leather and stitching tailored to your lifestyle. Extra care is taken to equip the car with the maximum amount of practical and easily accessible luggage space. For the LDRC is it recommended to install the custom made Roof Rack, this allows to stow the spare tyre you might need on your next journey and frees up more space under the trunk.
Step 11
Finishing & Testing
As your build nears completion, we focus on the final details that bring your QUEST to life, carefully fitting badges and finishing touches that celebrate its unique identity.
Next, your vehicle enters an intensive testing phase lasting a couple of weeks. Over 500 kilometres of rigorous road trials put every system through its paces, driven and inspected by our skilled team. This thorough process ensures your LDRC performs flawlessly, delivering the reliability and excellence you expect before it’s handed over to you.
Step 12
Handover & Delivery
The handover of your 911 is a moment we cherish, a celebration of craftsmanship and your vision brought to life. Whether you join us for a personal handover experience or prefer a quiet, private reveal, we ensure the occasion is memorable and special.
For those unable to visit in person, we handle secure, worldwide delivery with the same care and attention we put into building your vehicle. No matter where you are, your QUEST 911 will arrive safely, ready to embark on its next adventure with you.
